Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Coarsely chop pulled pork. Excess pork fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add edamame and slaw mix to hot pan and stir occasionally until slightly softened, 2-3 minutes.

    Transfer slaw mixture to a plate. Wipe pan clean and keep over medium-high heat.

    Cook the Pulled Pork

    Add pork to hot, dry pan. Break up meat and stir occasionally until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Add 2 Tbsp. water, mirin, teriyaki glaze, and soy sauce. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.

    While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

    Combine rice and white portions of green onions in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Fluff rice with a fork.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with slaw mixture and pork. Garnish with green portions of green onions and red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
