Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Broccoli

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat and seafood. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.

    Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    In provided tray, combine broccoli, 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, seasoned salt, and a pinch of pepper. Massage oil and seasonings into broccoli.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While broccoli bakes, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatloaves

    Line a plate with a paper towel. Evenly spread bacon on towel-lined plate and microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Crush crackers in a mixing bowl. Add 2 Tbsp. water and let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, bacon, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven.

    Push broccoli to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Transfer meatloaves to now-empty side. Top with half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for garnish) and cheese.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until broccoli is tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir butter into broccoli until melted and combined.

    To serve, top meatloaf with remaining BBQ sauce (using a clean utensil). Bon appétit!
