Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Cook the Steak Strips

    Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Season all over with garlic pepper and 1/4 tsp. salt.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add steak strips to hot pan. Stir occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.

    While steak strips cook, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/4” half-moons on an angle.

    Mince chives.

    Cook the Zucchini

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add zucchini, lemon n herb seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 3-4 minutes.

    Add minced garlic and parsley and stir constantly until garlic is fragrant, 30-60 seconds.

    Add Sauce and Pasta and Finish Dish

    Add grated cheese, cream base, pesto, lemon juice (to taste), and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add pasta and steak strips. Stir often until pasta is heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with shredded cheese and chives. Bon appétit!
