Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Sausage
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add Italian sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
2 Add the Spinach
Add spinach in batches (do not overflow pan) to hot pan. Stir constantly until wilted, 30-60 seconds.

3 Add the Beans and Sauce
Drain and rinse beans in a colander/strainer.
Add beans, cream base, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), 1/4 tsp. salt, 2 Tbsp. water, and pesto to hot pan. Stir often until combined, 2-3 minutes. -
4 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Add pasta and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until pasta is heated through and coated, 2-3 minutes.
If sauce is too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
