Customize It Instructions
-
If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.
-
1 Cook the Turkey and Mushrooms
Finely chop mushrooms.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add ground turkey and mushrooms to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.Drain any excess liquid from pan. Pan will be hot! Use caution. -
2 Add the Garlic and Dressing
Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.
Add white portions of green onions, minced garlic and chili pepper (to taste), ramen pork base, 1/4 tsp. salt, and half the dressing (reserve remaining for slaw) to hot pan. Stir often until combined and garlic is fragrant, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. While turkey mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Make the Slaw
In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, green portions of green onions, remaining dressing, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.
-
4 Assemble Wraps and Finish Dish
Cut off root end of romaine. Separate leaves of lettuce for cups. You should have about 5-6 cups total. Layer two lettuce cups for extra crunch and structural support. Lettuce cups are a delicious but messy meal. For this recipe, they can easily be converted to a salad. Simply chop romaine and top with filling after completing steps.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling lettuce wraps with turkey mixture and slaw. Bon appétit!
