Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Make the Meal

    If using microwave: Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Combine carrots and 1 Tbsp. water in provided tray. Cover tray with a damp paper towel and microwave, 3 minutes. Carefully remove tray from microwave. Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Tear a small slit in an upper corner of bag to vent. Place upright in microwave and heat, 45 seconds. Remove rice from packaging. Add rice, edamame, and half the teriyaki sauce (reserve remaining for garnish). Top with chicken and a pinch of pepper. Cover again with a damp paper towel and microwave until warmed through, 3-4 minutes. Carefully remove tray from microwave. Garnish with remaining teriyaki sauce, red pepper flakes (to taste), and sesame seeds. Bon appétit!

    If using oven: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Combine carrots and 1 Tbsp. water in provided tray. Cover tray with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake covered in hot oven, 10 minutes. While carrots bake, carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Tear a small slit in an upper corner of bag to vent. Place upright in microwave and heat, 45 seconds. Remove rice from packaging. Carefully, remove tray from oven. Add rice, edamame and half the teriyaki sauce (reserve remaining for garnish). Top with chicken and a pinch of pepper. Cover again with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake covered in hot oven until warmed through, 16-18 minutes. Carefully remove tray from oven. Garnish with remaining teriyaki sauce, red pepper flakes (to taste), and sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
