Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Toast the Panko
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add panko to hot pan. Stir occasionally until golden-brown and toasted, 1-2 minutes.Transfer panko to towel-lined plate and set aside.Wipe pan clean and keep over medium heat. -
2 Cook the Turkey Mixture
Add 2 tsp. olive oil, ground turkey, leeks, minced garlic and parsley, poultry seasoning, and 1/3 the garlic salt (reserve remaining for sauce) to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until combined and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce
Add cream base, cream cheese, shredded cheese, 1/4 cup water, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan.
Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
4 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Once simmering, add pasta to hot pan. Stir often until sauce is slightly thickened and pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.
If too thick, add additional water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner. Stir in lemon juice until combined.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with panko and grated cheese. Bon appétit!
