Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Start the Filling
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground turkey, poblanos (use less if spice-averse), 1/2 tsp. salt, and fiesta seasoning to hot pan. Stir often until poblanos are tender and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 6-8 minutes. -
2 Finish the Filling
Drain pineapples in a colander/strainer.
Add tomato puree, pineapples, and 1/2 cup water to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and filling is coated, 4-5 minutes.If too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.While filling cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Heat the Rice
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine rice, 2 tsp. olive oil, and piri piri seasoning (use less if spice-averse).Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Fluff rice with a fork. -
4 Heat Tortillas and Finish Dish
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel. If tortillas come folded, keep folded.
Microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.Carefully remove from microwave.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling tortillas with filling and cheese. Bon appétit!
