Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using 20 oz. sliced pork, follow same instructions.

  • If using 10 oz. or 20 oz. steak strips, pat dry. Follow same instructions as pork in Steps 2 and 4, stirring occasionally until no pink remains and steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

    Prepare Ingredients and Make Slaw

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, chipotle ranch dressing, 1 tsp. olive oil, green portions of green onions, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside.

    Cook the Pork

    Coarsely chop sliced pork. Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add pork, white portions of green onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until no pink remains 5-7 minutes. Add 2 Tbsp. water and bring to a simmer. Once simmering, remove from burner. Stir in honey mustard and apple butter.

    Toast the Buns

    Place cheese on bottom buns. Place buns cut-sides up directly on oven rack in hot oven and bake until golden brown and cheese has melted, 2-3 minutes. Keep an eye on oven as buns may burn easily under broiler.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with sliced pork and top bun. Bon appétit!
