Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Add chicken to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Start the Potatoes

    Prick potatoes all over with a fork.

    Place potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until slightly tender, 5-7 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Using the flat side of an object, press down gently to smash each potato until 1/2" thick.

    Place potatoes in provided tray and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Potatoes will be hot! Use a utensil. Wipe bowl clean and reserve.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While potatoes bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Steaks

    In reserved bowl, combine mayonnaise, onion jam, and cheese. Set aside.

    Pat steaks dry and season both sides with steak seasoning.

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add steaks to hot pan. Sear undisturbed until browned, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and push potatoes to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Transfer steaks to empty side of tray and evenly top with cheese mixture.

    Finish Meal and Dress Arugula

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until potatoes are browned and steaks reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 6-9 minutes.

    Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    While meal bakes, in a mixing bowl, combine arugula, lemon juice, 1/2 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Rest steaks, 3 minutes.

    Stir softened butter into potatoes until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    To serve, garnish steak with arugula. Bon appétit!
