Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Crisp Bacon and Form Patties

Line a plate with a paper towel.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add bacon to hot pan and cook until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

Remove from burner. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve.

While bacon crisps, form ground pork into four equally-sized patties, 5" across.

Season both sides with half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for potatoes) and rotisserie chicken seasoning.

  2. 2

    Cook the Potatoes

Return pan used to crisp bacon to medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

Add potatoes, remaining garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned, 3-5 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While potatoes cook, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Cook the Patties

Summertime, and the grilling is easy! To grill this burger, heat grill to medium. Follow same instructions, grilling until browned and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.

Add patties to hot pan. Cook until slightly charred and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Evenly top with BBQ sauce and cheese, then add 1 tsp. water. Cover and cook until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While patties cook, continue recipe.

  4. 4

Heat Rolls, Assemble Slaw, and Finish Dish

Heat rolls to your preference using a toaster or microwave.

Alternatively, place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, Dijon dressing, and a pinch of salt.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with patty, crispy onions, then top roll. Garnish potatoes with ranch dressing and bacon. Bon appétit!
