Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

Customize It Instructions

If using diced chicken thighs, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely chop peanuts.
Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Pat sliced beef dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Season all over with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. -
2 Start the Sliced Beef
Place a large non-stick pan over high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add sliced beef and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until beef starts to brown, 1-2 minutes.Add sugar and stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes.Beef will finish cooking in a later step. -
3 Add the Vegetables
Add carrots, white portions of green onions, and a pinch of salt to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until carrots begin to soften, 1-2 minutes. -
4 Add Noodles and Sauce and Finish Dish
Add noodles, teriyaki glaze, and 2 tsp. lime juice to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until noodles are heated through and sliced beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes.Stir in sambal (to taste) until combined, 20-30 seconds.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pad Thai with peanuts and green portions of green onions. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
