Tostadas are so much fun to eat because you can top them with anything! We decided to top these with flavorful ground beef, fresh cilantro, a guac crema, and crisp slaw. We know you'll enjoy making these.

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, stirring occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, breaking up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, cooking until shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Toast the Tortillas
Tostadas are a delicious, but messy treat. For this recipe, they can easily be converted to tacos. Simply warm tortillas in oven for 1-2 minutes after completing steps.
Poke tortillas with a fork all over, 10 times for each tortilla. Place tortillas on prepared baking sheet. Top with 1 tsp. olive oil and massage oil into tortillas.Toast in hot oven until browned and crispy, 5-7 minutes.While tortillas toast, continue recipe. -
2 Cook the Ground Beef
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add ground beef, chile and cumin rub, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Add tomatoes and stir occasionally until slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner.While beef cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Prepare the Ingredients
Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.
Stem cilantro. -
4 Make the Slaw and Guacamole Crema
In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, 1 Tbsp. lime juice, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
In another mixing bowl, combine guacamole and sour cream. -
5 Assemble Tostadas and Finish Dish
Top tostadas with beef mixture, slaw, guacamole crema, cilantro, and cheese.
