Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until steak strips reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

    Start the Vegetables and Shrimp

    Prick potatoes all over with a fork.

    Place potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    While potatoes microwave, pat shrimp dry.

    Carefully remove potatoes from microwave. Place potatoes, shrimp, and bell peppers in provided tray. Toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into a single layer. Potatoes will be hot! Use caution.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    Shrimp will finish cooking in a later step.

    Add Corn and Bake Meal

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and drain any excess liquid. Tray will be hot! Use caution.

    Stir in corn, Chesapeake seasoning, and a pinch of salt until combined. Evenly top with plain butter.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until potatoes are browned and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and stir to combine.

    While meal bakes, continue recipe.

    Toast Garlic Bread, Make Crema, and Finish Meal

    Separate ciabatta and evenly spread softened roasted garlic and herb butter on cut sides.

    Place ciabatta, cut-sides up, directly on oven rack in hot oven. Toast until golden-brown, 5-7 minutes.

    While ciabatta toasts, halve lemon lengthwise and cut into wedges.

    Stem and tear parsley.

    In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and 1 tsp. water. Set aside.

    To serve, top shrimp mixture with crema and garnish with parsley. Squeeze lemon wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
