  1. 1

    Roast the Fries

Cut potatoes into ¼" fries and pat dry.

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Massage oil and seasoning into fries.

Spread into a single layer. Roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-28 minutes, tossing fries halfway through.

Carefully remove fries from oven and toss with 1 tsp. minced rosemary (prepared in a later step). Baking sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While potatoes roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Stem and mince rosemary.

Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.

Form ground beef into two patties, about 5" in diameter. Season both sides with a pinch of salt and pepper.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onion

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add onion and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until softened and browned, 10-12 minutes.

Add sugar and wine. Bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, stir occasionally until wine is almost entirely evaporated, 1-2 minutes.

If pan becomes dry, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed.

    Remove from burner.

    While onions cook, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add buns, cut side down, to hot pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat.

  5. 5

    Cook Patties and Finish Dish

Add 1 tsp. olive oil and patties to hot pan. Cook until browned and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Remove from burner. Top patties evenly with cheese (to taste). Cover until melted, 1-2 minutes.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with onion, patty, arugula, and top bun. Bon appétit!
