Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Cook Peppers and Steak Strips
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Separate steak strips into a single layer and pat dry.
Place steak strips in provided tray, spreading into an even layer. Top steak with poblanos and a pinch of salt and pepper.Bake uncovered in hot oven until peppers are tender, 10-15 minutes. -
2 Add the Sauce
Carefully remove tray from oven. Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.
Add cream cheese, 1/2 cup water, seasoning blend, and a pinch of salt and pepper to tray. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes. -
3 Bake the Dish
Bake again uncovered in hot oven until steak reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 13-15 minutes.
While meal bakes, halve lime. Cut one half into wedges. Stem cilantro, reserving whole leaves.In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, juice of lime half, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.Carefully remove tray from oven and add mozzarella. Stir until combined and cheese has melted. Rest, 3 minutes.Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.Fill tortillas with steak strip mixture and top with slaw. Garnish with cilantro leaves. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
