Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    If you received raw pasta, bring 8 cups water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, cook until al dente, 8-13 minutes. Remove from burner. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside. Wait until last step to add pasta and stir to combine.

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Evenly spread bacon on towel-lined plate. Microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    While bacon crisps, break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    Place panko on a plate and spread into a single layer.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Carefully remove bacon from microwave.

    Prepare the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry.

    Cover chicken with plastic wrap and use a heavy object to pound to an even 1/8" thickness. Gallon bags make clean up easier and are made of thicker plastic. If you don’t have a disposable bag, use plastic wrap.

    Remove plastic wrap. Season both sides with steak seasoning and 1/4 tsp. salt.

    Transfer chicken to plate with panko and flip until coated on both sides, pressing gently to adhere.

    Cook the Chicken

    Line another plate with a paper towel.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 3 Tbsp. olive oil. Let oil heat, 3 minutes.

    Test oil temperature by adding a pinch of panko to it. It should sizzle gently. If it browns immediately, turn heat down and let oil cool. If it doesn't brown, increase heat.

    Lay chicken away from you in hot oil and flip every 1-2 minutes until golden-brown and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 6-8 minutes.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Remove from burner. Transfer chicken to towel-lined plate.

    While chicken cooks, continue recipe.

    Cook Broccoli, Add Pasta, and Finish Dish

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add broccoli, white portions of green onions, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.

    Uncover and add cream base, shredded cheese, and 2 Tbsp. water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add pasta, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir occasionally until broccoli is tender and pasta is heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with bacon, grated cheese, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
