Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Steak and Vegetables
Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces.
Combine steak strips, pepper and onion mix, 1 tsp. olive oil, fajita seasoning, and garlic salt in provided tray. Spread into an even layer. -
2 Bake the Meal
Bake uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are softened and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
While meal bakes, continue recipe. -
3 Assemble Tacos and Finish Meal
Halve lime and juice.
Stem cilantro, reserving whole leaves.Combine slaw mix, cilantro, lime juice, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Set aside.Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.If tortillas come folded, keep folded.Carefully remove tray from oven. Rest, 3 minutes.To serve, fill tortillas with steak and vegetables. Garnish with slaw, crispy jalapeños (to taste), and cheese. Bon appétit!
