Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using 16 oz. shrimp, follow same instructions as 8 oz. shrimp, working in batches if necessary.

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using diced chicken thighs, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

    Roast the Fries

    Cut potatoes into 1/4" fries and pat dry.

    Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, half the Cajun seasoning (to taste; reserve remaining for shrimp), and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer.

    Roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Core tomato and cut into 1/2" rounds.

    Pat shrimp dry. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, half the mayonnaise (reserve remaining for sauce), and a pinch of salt and pepper.

    Add cornmeal and gently toss until shrimp are completely coated.

    Cook the Shrimp

    Line a plate with a paper towel. Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 Tbsp. olive oil. Let heat, 3 minutes.

    After 3 minutes, add shrimp to hot pan and cook until shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner. Transfer shrimp to towel-lined plate. Season with remaining Cajun seasoning (to taste).

    Wipe pan clean and reserve.

    Make the Sauce

    In another mixing bowl, combine remaining mayonnaise and remoulade. Set aside.

    Toast Rolls and Finish Dish

    Return pan used to cook shrimp to medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add rolls, cut-side down, to hot pan and toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling roll with tomatoes, shrimp, and sauce. Bon appétit!
