Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine green beans, slaw mix, and 2 Tbsp. water. Cover with a damp paper towel.

Microwave covered until slightly tender, 4-6 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave and drain any excess liquid.

Place green bean mixture in provided tray and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and garlic salt. Push to one side of tray. Wipe bowl clean and reserve.

  2. 2

    Bake the Vegetables and Meatballs

If you receive crackers, coarsely crush, and follow same instructions as panko.

In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 1 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

After 1 minute, add ground pork, soy sauce, and Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse). Stir until thoroughly combined. Form pork mixture into 10 equally-sized meatballs.

Place meatballs in empty side of tray and evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil.

Bake uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

Carefully remove from oven and stir dressing into vegetables until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

While vegetables and meatballs bake, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Heat Rice and Finish Meal

Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging. Place rice in reserved microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave. Stir in a pinch of salt and 1/2 Tbsp. softened butter until combined. Rest, 2 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork.

To serve, garnish green bean mixture with sesame seeds and serve yuzu dipping sauce on the side for dipping meatballs. Bon appétit!
