Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Broccoli

    Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    In provided tray, combine broccoli, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cover tray with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While broccoli bakes, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko and soy sauce. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground pork, mayonnaise, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form mixture into 6 equally-sized meatballs.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and push broccoli to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Add meatballs to now-empty side of tray.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven and drain any excess liquid from tray. Stir butter and sesame seeds into broccoli.

    To serve, drizzle boom boom sauce (to taste) over meatballs. Bon appétit!
