Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Beef and Tomatoes

    Prick tomatoes with a fork.

    Add ground beef and tomatoes to provided tray, breaking up ground beef into bite-sized pieces. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 12 minutes.

    Beef will finish cooking in a later step.

    Carefully remove from oven. Drain any excess liquid and break up beef mixture. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Add the Pasta

    Add pasta, cream base, Parmesan, softened tomato feta sauce, minced garlic and parsley, half the feta (reserve remaining for garnish), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir to combine.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    While meal bakes, stem and tear dill.

    Carefully remove from oven. Add a pinch of salt and pepper and stir to combine.

    To serve, top pasta with remaining feta and garnish with dill (to taste). Bon appétit!
