Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Trim cucumber, halve lengthwise, then cut into ½” half-moons Cut mango into ¼'s. Trim and thinly slice green onions

    "Bring a small pot with rice and 1½ cups water to a boil. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender, 18-20 minutes. Remove from burner and set aside. Season with a pinch of salt.
    While rice cooks, prepare pork."

    "Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil white part of green onion, and ground pork to hot pan Break up meat until no pink remains and season with ¼ tsp salt and a pinch of pepper. cook until pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees , 5-7 minutes. " Add sesame garlic sauce and stir to coat meat, remove from heat and keep warm

    Make pickled veg mango slaw

    Combine slaw mix, cucumber, and mango with rice wine vinegar and ¼ tsp salt and pinch of pepper. Toss to combine. Add 2 tsp olive oil and stir to coat well. Set aside.

    Finish and plate

    In a medium non stick pan, heat 1 tsp. oil. add green onion tops and saute till wilted, 1 min. Add rice all at once and saute till lightly crisped up. Season with salt and pepper. Build out rice bowl following the photo, topping with slaw, and sprinkle with cilantro Bon Appetit!
