Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil.

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using Italian sausage, break up sausage until no pink remains and sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • Add protein to meal as desired.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Drain and rinse both beans in a colander/strainer.

    Mince garlic.

  2. 2

    Start the Soup

Place a medium pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add carrot and celery blend, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to hot pot. Stir often until vegetables are slightly tender, 3-5 minutes.

Add garlic and stir often until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.

  3. 3

Add the Tomatoes, Beans, and Lentils

Add tomatoes, mirepoix base, beans, lentils, Italian seasoning, half the smoked paprika (to taste; remaining is yours to use as you please!), and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pot. Stir often until combined and beans are heated through, 2-3 minutes.

  4. 4

    Finish the Soup

Add 2 cups water to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 8-10 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

  5. 5

Broil Cheesy Bread and Finish Dish

Open roll and halve lengthwise. Evenly spread 1 Tbsp. softened butter on cut-side of roll halves, then top with cheese. Place on prepared baking sheet.

Broil under hot broiler until cheese is melted and roll has browned, 1-2 minutes.

Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as cheesy bread may burn easily under broiler.

    Carefully remove from oven.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, slicing cheesy bread, if desired. Bon appétit!
