Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Cook the Rice

    Bring a small pot with rice, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1 1/4 cups water to a boil.

    Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in green portions of green onions (prepared in a later step) and sesame oil until combined. Cover and set aside to keep warm.

    While rice cooks, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Prepare the Pork

    Evenly spread panko on a plate.

    Pat pork dry. Cover with plastic wrap and use a heavy object to pound to an even 1/4" thickness. Gallon bags make clean up easier and are made of thicker plastic. If you don’t have a disposable bag, use plastic wrap.

    Season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper, then evenly coat both sides with mayonnaise.

    Transfer pork to plate with panko and flip until coated on both sides, pressing gently to adhere.

    Cook the Pork

    Line another plate with a paper towel.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Lay pork away from you in hot oil and flip every 1-2 minutes until golden-brown and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from burner and transfer pork to towel-line plate. Rest, 3 minutes.

    While pork cooks, continue recipe.

    Cook Broccoli and Finish Dish

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add broccoli and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.

    Uncover and stir in white portions of green onions, 1/4 tsp. salt, and Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (to taste) until broccoli is tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork with BBQ sauce. Garnish broccoli with sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
