Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Press Tofu

    Remove tofu from package and press between paper towels and two plates. Let sit for 5 minutes.

    Chop cilantro and green onion Juice the lime Dice tofu into ½ inch pieces

    Cook Noodles

    Cook according to package directions. Set aside ¼ cup of pasta water for sauce.

    Fry Tofu

    Cook tofu in 3 TB of olive oil and ¼ tsp salt until crisp. Set aside.

    Cook Beans/Make Sauce

    In the same pan add 1 tsp olive oil and cook green beans until almost tender. Add green onions and cook 1 minute. Stir in red pepper paste and teriyaki glaze; bring to a simmer.

    Finish Dish

    Add tofu and noodles to the sauce mixture and toss to combine. Add ¼ cup pasta water. Garnish with scallions.
