1 Cook Couscous and Prepare Ingredients
Once water in medium pot is boiling, add couscous and cook until soft, 9-10 minutes.
Reserve 1/2 cup couscous cooking water, then drain couscous.While couscous cooks, halve pear lengthwise, core, and cut into 1/8" slices.Halve lemon lengthwise. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Mince chives.Tear spinach into smaller pieces. -
2 Cook the Pear
Place a small pot over medium heat.
Add pear slices, 2 Tbsp. water, and apple cider to hot pot. Bring to a simmerOnce simmering, cover, and cook until pears are soft, 3-5 minutes.Uncover, and continue cooking until water has almost evaporated, 3-4 minutes. Remove from burner. Cover and set aside. -
3 Cook the Chicken
Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add ground chicken and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes. -
4 Finish the Dish
Add cream cheese, cheese spread, 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, seasoning blend, and 1/4 cup couscous cooking water to hot pan. Stir constantly until cheeses are melted, 2-3 minutes.
Stir in cooked couscous and chives until combined.Add spinach and stir constantly until wilted, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, squeezing lemon wedge over bowl to taste. Serve cooked pears on side. Bon appétit!
