  • 1 Microwave-Safe Bowl
  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions.

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add zucchini, pepper and onion mix, lemon n herb seasoning, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for pork) to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While vegetables cook, continue recipe.

    Cook the Pork

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add ground pork and remaining garlic salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from burner and stir in chimichurri (to taste) until combined.

    While pork cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat the Rice

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

    Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Stir in piri piri seasoning (to taste), a pinch of salt, and 1/2 Tbsp. softened salted butter until combined. Fluff rice with a fork.

    While rice microwaves, continue recipe.

    Make Crema and Finish Dish

    In a mixing bowl, combine creme fraiche, pesto, and 1 Tbsp. water.

    Serve family-style, garnishing pork and vegetables with tzatziki and crema. Bon appétit!
