A note about serious food allergies

There may be no foodstuff more widespread, more beloved, eaten by more teenagers at slumber parties than that classic of the greasy box, pepperoni pizza. How could that experience possibly be better? We can't improve the horror movies watched, or the pranks played, but we can move that gooey good cheese and that salty good cured meat to a succulent pork chop. Every bite is like pizza… but better. No sleeping bag required!

Customize It Instructions

  • If using chicken breasts, follow same instructions as pork chops in Steps 1, 3, and 4, searing undisturbed until browned on one side, 2-3 minutes, then transferring to baking sheet, seared side up, adding topping, and roasting until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-12 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Stem, seed, remove ribs, and cut green bell pepper into 1/2" dice.

    Cut potatoes into 1/2" dice.

Pat pork chops dry, and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper.

  2. 2

    Start the Vegetables

Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Massage oil, garlic pepper, and salt into potatoes.

Spread into a single layer. Roast in hot oven, 18 minutes.

While potatoes roast, start pork chops.

  3. 3

    Start the Pork

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add pork chops to hot pan and sear undisturbed until browned, 3-4 minutes on one side.

    Remove from burner.

  4. 4

    Finish the Pork and Vegetables

Carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Combine green bell pepper with potatoes and push to one side. Baking sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Transfer pork chops to empty half of baking sheet, seared side up. Top evenly with marinara, a pinch of pepper, mozzarella, and pepperoni.

Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender, cheese is melted, and pork chops reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 10-12 minutes.

Top roasted vegetables with Parmesan. Rest, 3 minutes.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
