Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips. Halve potatoes. Cut halves into 1"-thick wedges.

    Form the "Steak" Patties

    Combine ground beef, garlic salt, and panko in a mixing bowl. Form ground beef mixture into six equally-sized patties.

    Assemble the Meal

    Place slow cooker liner in slow cooker, if desired. Fold top edges in before putting on lid. In a clean slow cooker, combine onion, mushrooms, and flour. Add mustard, demi-glace, 1 cup water, and patties. Top with potatoes and seasoning blend.

    Cook the Meal

    Turn slow cooker on to low heat. Cover, and cook until patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4 hours. Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
