Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Halve tomatoes. If you receive one whole tomato instead, not to worry; simply core tomato, cut into 1/2" dice, and proceed with recipe instructions.
Coarsely chop spinach. -
2 Cook the Sausage
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
3 Add the Vegetables
Add tomatoes to hot pan and stir occasionally until starting to soften, 2-3 minutes.
Add spinach and stir occasionally until wilted, 45-60 seconds. -
4 Add Sauce and Pasta and Finish Dish
Add cream base, pesto (to taste), 3/4 the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the pesto. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, add pasta and stir occasionally until combined and warmed through, 2-3 minutes.If too thick, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
