If using scallops, cook until scallops reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 1-2 minutes per side. If using chicken, stir occasionally until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
If using scallops or chicken, stir into pasta.
