Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using filets mignon or sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta

Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 8-10 minutes.

Remove from burner. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta cooking water.

Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and return to pot. Stir in softened butter and 2 Tbsp. reserved pasta cooking water until pasta is coated.

    While pasta cooks, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare Ingredients and Make Sauce

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

Stem basil, stack leaves, roll into a long cylinder, and slice lengthwise to create very thin strips.

In a mixing bowl, combine cream base, pesto, and half the garlic salt (remaining is yours to use as you please!). Set aside.

Pat salmon dry and season both sides with lemon n herb seasoning.

  3. 3

    Roast the Salmon

Place salmon skin-side down in prepared casserole dish and evenly top with sauce. Cover with foil.

Roast covered in hot oven until salmon reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

Carefully remove from oven and discard foil. Reserve 1/4 cup sauce. Casserole dish will be hot! Use caution.

    While salmon roasts, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Cook the Green Beans

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans to hot pan. Cook, 1 minute.

Add 1/4 cup water and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until green beans are tender, 6-8 minutes.

If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.

Uncover and stir in a pinch of salt and garlic pepper until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

  5. 5

    Finish Pasta and Finish Dish

Add reserved sauce to pot with pasta and stir until combined.

If too thick, add additional reserved pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with salmon. Garnish salmon with remaining sauce from casserole dish, cheese, then basil. Bon appétit!
