Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Microwave Instructions

    Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain and rinse beans. Drain beef and pat dry.

    Add beans to one section of provided tray. Gently mash. Stir ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for beef), and a pinch of salt and pepper into beans until combined.

    Combine corn, butter, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and 2 tsp. water in empty section of tray. Cream cheese and butter will melt as meal bakes.

    Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave, 2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and stir both sections. Top bean mixture with beef and remaining BBQ sauce.

    Cover again with a damp paper towel. Microwave until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain and rinse beans. Drain beef and pat dry.

    Add beans to one section of provided tray. Gently mash. Stir ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for beef), and a pinch of salt and pepper into beans.

    Add corn, butter, cream cheese, shredded cheese, and 2 tsp. water to other section of tray. Cream cheese and butter will melt as meal bakes.

    Cover tray with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake covered in hot oven until butter melts, 8-10 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and stir both sections. Top bean mixture with beef and remaining BBQ sauce.

    Cover again with foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake again covered in hot oven until heated through, 6-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Bon appétit!
