Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

1 Cook the Noodles
Once water is boiling, add noodles and cook until tender, 4-6 minutes.
Remove from burner. Reserve 3/4 cup noodle cooking water. Drain noodles in a colander/strainer and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process.Return noodles to pot and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil. Set aside.If you receive cooked spaghetti noodles instead, add to hot pan in step 4, and stir occasionally until noodles are heated through, 2-3 minutes. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely chop peanuts.
Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Season all over with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. -
3 Start the Steak Strips
Place a large non-stick pan over high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add steak strips and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until steak strips start to brown, 1-2 minutes.Add sugar and stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes.Steak will finish cooking in a later step. -
4 Add Vegetables, Noodles, and Sauce and Finish Steak Strips
Add carrots, white portions of green onions, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until carrots begin to soften, 1-2 minutes.
Add noodles, teriyaki glaze, and 2 tsp. lime juice. Stir occasionally until noodles are heated through and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes.Stir in sambal (to taste) until combined, 30-60 seconds. Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping with peanuts and green portions of green onions. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
