Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare Ingredients and Make Sauce

Trim green beans, if necessary, and cut into 1" pieces.

    Zest, halve, and juice lime.

Stem and tear cilantro leaves. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the cilantro.

    Coarsely crush cashews.

In a mixing bowl, combine sweet chili sauce and mayonnaise. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ground Beef

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

Drain any excess liquid. Pan will be hot! Use caution.

Stir in half the minced garlic and chili pepper (to taste; reserve remaining for green beans), a pinch of salt, teriyaki glaze, and sambal (to taste) until combined, 1-2 minutes. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the minced garlic and chili pepper and sambal.

    Remove from burner.

While ground beef cooks, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Cook the Green Beans

Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, cover and stir occasionally until water is almost completely evaporated, 3-5 minutes.

Uncover and add remaining minced garlic and chili pepper (to taste), soy sauce, and a pinch of pepper. Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the minced garlic and chili pepper. Stir occasionally until combined and green beans are tender, 2-4 minutes.

If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

While green beans cook, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

Stir in 1/4 tsp. lime zest, 2 tsp. lime juice (to taste), 1/4 tsp. salt, and cilantro until combined. Fluff rice with a fork.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with ground beef (to taste) and green beans (to taste). Garnish with cashews and sauce. Bon appétit!
