Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Start the Stroganoff
Place a large pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground beef, onions, mushrooms, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pot. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
2 Add the Sauce
Add flour to hot pot and stir occasionally until no dry flour remains.
Add 2 cups water, garlic salt, mushroom base, half the sour cream (reserve remaining for crema), and half the buttermilk-dill seasoning (reserve remaining for crema) to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, reduce heat to medium and stir occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes. -
3 Finish the Stroganoff
Add pasta to hot pot. Stir occasionally until heated through, 2-3 minutes.
If too thick, add additional water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.While pasta heats through, continue recipe. -
4 Make Crema and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine remaining buttermilk-dill seasoning and remaining sour cream.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crema and crispy onions. Bon appétit!
