Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven, 15-18 minutes, adding ingredients, and baking uncovered again until pork reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-15 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven, 15-18 minutes, adding ingredients, and baking uncovered again until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 12-15 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 2 and 3, baking uncovered in hot oven, 15-18 minutes, adding ingredients, and baking uncovered again until burger is heated through, 8-10 minutes.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    Combine zucchini and 1 tsp. olive oil in one half of provided tray.

    Add the Meatballs

    Combine ground beef, ricotta, panko, and garlic salt in a mixing bowl.

    Form into six evenly-sized meatballs. Place in empty side of tray.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until zucchini starts to soften, 15-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Drain any excess liquid from tray.

    Add pasta, a pinch of salt, and marinara to zucchini and stir to combine. Top pasta and meatballs with Parmesan and mozzarella.

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 8-10 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

    To serve, garnish with red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
