Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Make the Meal

    If using microwave: Combine rice and pulled pork in provided tray. Cover with a damp paper towel and microwave until warmed through, 5-7 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave. Top with salsa and cheddar-jack cheese. Cover again with a damp paper towel and microwave until cheese is melted, 2-3 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave. Garnish with cotjia, crispy jalapeños (to taste), and sour cream. Bon appétit! If using oven: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine rice and pulled pork in provided tray. Top with salsa and cheddar-jack cheese. Cover tray with foil. Place on a baking sheet and bake covered in hot oven until pork is heated through, 12-15 minutes. Carefully remove tray from oven. Garnish with cotija, crispy jalapeños (to taste), and sour cream. Bon appétit!
