Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

  • If using sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  1. 1

    Start Vegetables and Prepare Ingredients

    Cut potatoes into 1/2" dice.

Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, half the savory seasoning (reserve remaining for chicken), and a pinch of pepper. Spread into an even layer.

Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.

While potatoes roast, trim green beans.

    Stem and mince thyme.

Peel and slice shallot into very thin rounds.

Remove puff pastry from refrigerator. Remove any paper between puff pastry squares, if necessary. If paper is sticking, place puff pastry in freezer until firm, 5 minutes. Halve lengthwise.

Carefully remove sheet from oven. Stir potatoes and push to 1/3 of sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

  2. 2

Finish the Vegetables and Puff Pastry

Place green beans in center of sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for chicken), and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread into an even layer in center of sheet.

Place puff pastry on empty side of sheet.

Roast in hot oven until green beans are tender, potatoes have browned, and puff pastry is golden-brown, 12-14 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

While vegetables and puff pastry roast, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Pat chicken dry and season both sides with remaining savory seasoning, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper.

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add chicken to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side.

Transfer chicken to a plate and tent with foil. Wipe pan clean and keep over medium heat.

  4. 4

    Make the Sauce

Add 1 tsp. olive oil, shallots, 1 tsp. thyme, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir often until shallots are tender and slightly browned, 3-5 minutes.

Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains. Add chicken base, cream base, and 1/3 cup water. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Once simmering, stir often until sauce is slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.

If too thick, add additional water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Remove from burner.

    While sauce cooks, continue recipe.

  5. 5

    Melt Butter and Finish Dish

Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

Microwave uncovered until melted, 30-45 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with sauce, puff pastry, then butter. Bon appétit!
