Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Start the Vegetables

    Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Drain potatoes in a colander/strainer.

    Combine broccoli, potatoes, 1 tsp. olive oil, and garlic salt in provided tray. Spread into a single layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While vegetables bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatloaves

    Finely crush crackers.

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for topping), crackers, half the cheese (reserve remaining for vegetables), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form meat mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and push vegetables to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Place meatloaves in empty side of tray.

    Finish the Meal

    In another mixing bowl, combine remaining BBQ sauce and chipotle pesto (to taste). Top meatloaves evenly with BBQ-chipotle mixture (use less if spice-averse).

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Evenly top vegetables with remaining cheese.

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until cheese is melted and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-10 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

    To serve, garnish meatloaf with crispy onions. Bon appétit!
