Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    prep

    halve and slice shallots into 1/2 rings

    juice lime and combine with shallots

    slice sweet potatoes into 1/4 inch 1/2 rounds

    roasting the potatoes

    in 400 degree oven

    2t olive oil, 1/4 t salt, pinch pepper

    season with chili flake to taste

    burger

    combine turkey with cheddar jack, BBQ, 1/4 t salt and a pinch pepper

    heat non stick with 1T oil over medium heat

    sear 2 -3 minutes per side

    transfer to oven with sweet potatoes and cook until 165

    while cooking toast bun

    assemble

    place burger on bun, top with pickled shallots, arugula and chipotle ranch
