Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare Ingredients and Cook Turkey

    Halve tomatoes.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

    Add ground turkey, creole seasoning, white portions of green onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains on turkey and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.

    While turkey cooks, cook vegetables.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place another medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add tomatoes, kale, and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan.

    Cover, and cook until tender and kale is slightly wilted, 2-4 minutes.

    While vegetables cook, cook pasta.

    Cook the Pasta and Sauce

    Stir tomato paste into pan with turkey until completely combined. Then add cream base, pasta, 1/3 cup water, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir constantly until heated through, 1-2 minutes

    Remove from burner.

    Finish the Dish

    Stir vegetables into pasta mixture until combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with green portions of green onions and remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
