Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Roast The Potatoes

    Halve potatoes lengthwise. Toss fingerling potatoes with 2 tsp. olive oil, BBQ seasoningt, and a pinch of salt and pepper on prepared baking sheet. Spread into a single layer and roast until golden brown and fork-tender, 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.

    While potatoes roast, prepare the ingredients.

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Peel and mince shallot.

    Refrigerate puff pastry until ready to use.

    Cook The Sausage

    Remove Italian sausage from casing. "Heat a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

    Add 1 tsp. olive oil and Italian sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes."

    Add shallot and and cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Add cream cheese and 2 Tbsp. water and stir to combine.

    Bake The Sausages

    Remove puff pastry from fridge. Place filling evenly onto each square and fold each corner towards the center. Place on baking sheet with potatoes.

    Bake in a hot oven until pastry is browned and crispy, 15-17 minutes.

    Make The Slaw and Finish The Dish

    Add slaw mix and dressing to a mixing bowl until completely combined.

    Add mustard and pepper flakes (to taste) to a small bowl until completely combined.
