Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using whole chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook in a large non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using diced chicken thighs, pat dry. In a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat, stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.

  • If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Cook in a large non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Trim cucumber and cut into 1/4" dice.

Pat chicken dry. Halve large pieces to roughly match smaller pieces, about 1" dice.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add chicken to hot pan and stir occasionally until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

Remove from burner. Transfer chicken to a mixing bowl and set aside. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

  3. 3

    Toast the Flatbreads

Return pan used to cook chicken to medium heat. Add flatbreads to hot, dry pan and warm until lightly toasted, 30-60 seconds per side.

Remove from burner. Transfer to a plate.

  4. 4

    Make the Gyro Mixture

Add cucumbers, spring mix, and dressing to bowl with chicken. Stir to combine.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling flatbread with gyro mixture and topping with tzatziki and cheese. Bon appétit!
