Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add broccoli and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for pork) to hot pan. Cover, and stir occasionally until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    While broccoli cooks, prepare pork.

    Start the Pork

    Coarsely crush crackers.

    Pat pork medallions dry, and season both sides with remaining garlic salt and a pinch of salt and pepper.

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Add butter to hot pan and let melt.

    Once butter has melted, add pork medallions to hot pan and cook until pork is browned, 3-5 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner. Pork will finish cooking in a later step.

    Finish the Pork

    Transfer pork medallions to prepared baking sheet. Top evenly with cheese, everything bagel seasoning, and crushed crackers.

    Place baking sheet under hot broiler and broil until cheese is melted and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-4 minutes.

    Rest, 3 minutes.

    Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on the pork while under broiler.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork with sour cream and broccoli with dressing. Bon appétit!
