Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Coarsely crush peanuts.
Trim cucumbers and cut into 2" pieces.Stem cilantro and reserve whole leaves.Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Pat steaks dry. Season both sides with garlic pepper and garlic salt. -
2 Smash the Cucumbers
Place cucumbers on a clean, flat surface and cover with plastic wrap. Use a heavy object to pound into large even chunks. Gallon bags make clean up easier and are made of thicker plastic.
Transfer cucumbers to a mixing bowl. Stir in white portions of green onions, 1/4 tsp. salt, and dressing until combined. Set aside. -
3 Cook the Steaks
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add steaks to hot pan. Cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While steaks cook, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Rice and Finish Dish
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.
Place rice and a pinch of salt in a microwave-safe bowl.Microwave uncovered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.Stir in softened butter, sesame seeds, and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined. Fluff rice with a fork.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with boom boom sauce (to taste). Slice steak, if desired. Garnish cucumbers with peanuts, cilantro, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
