Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Cook the Green Beans

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    In provided tray, combine green beans, garlic salt, and 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until starting to soften, 10-12 minutes.

    While green beans bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Chicken

    Pat chicken breasts dry. Season both sides with garlic pepper.

    Carefully remove tray from oven and push green beans to one side. Add chicken to empty side. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Finish the Dish

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While chicken bakes, combine cheese spread and fig jam in a mixing bowl.

    Break up pecans in shipping bag.

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Place bacon on a towel-lined plate and microwave until crisp, 45-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove tray from oven and bacon from microwave. Transfer chicken to a plate.

    To serve, top chicken evenly with fig-cheese mixture and pecans, pressing gently to adhere. Garnish green beans with bacon. Bon appétit!
