1 Start the Potatoes
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Spray provided tray with cooking spray. Set butter on counter to soften.
In a microwave-safe bowl, add potatoes and 1 Tbsp. water. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until potatoes can easily be pierced with a knife, 6-8 minutes.Carefully remove from microwave.Potatoes will finish cooking in a later step. While potatoes microwave, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare Ingredients and Sear Steaks
Pat steaks dry and season both sides with steak seasoning.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add steaks to hot pan and sear until golden brown on one side, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner. While steaks sear, thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate. In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine softened butter and sour cream. -
3 Bake the Meal
Place potatoes in one side of provided tray. Using the flat side of an object (like a drinking glass), press down gently to smash each potato.
Top potatoes with white portions of green onions, 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Top with cheese.Add steak, seared side up, to empty side of tray. Top evenly with jam and demi-glace.Bake uncovered in hot oven until steak reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 8-10 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Carefully remove from oven. Rest, 3 minutes. To serve, top steak with sauce from tray and garnish potatoes with crema and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
