Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Start the Broccoli
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.
Using hands, break broccoli into bite-sized pieces.In provided tray, combine broccoli, 2 tsp. olive oil, and 1 Tbsp. water. Cover tray with foil.Bake covered in hot oven until broccoli starts to soften and turns bright green, 15-20 minutes.While broccoli bakes, continue recipe. -
2 Add the Shrimp
Drain shrimp thoroughly and pat dry.
Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.Carefully remove tray from oven. Add shrimp, garlic sesame sauce, white portions of green onions, cornstarch, sambal (use less if spice-averse), minced garlic and parsley, and a pinch of pepper. Stir to combine. -
3 Bake Meal and Heat Rice
Bake again uncovered in hot oven until broccoli is tender and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 15-20 minutes.
While meal bakes, gently crush peanuts in shipping bag.In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine rice, 11/4 cups water, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered, 4 minutes.Carefully remove rice from microwave and stir. Microwave again uncovered, 2 minutes.Carefully remove bowl from microwave and tray from oven.To serve, top rice with shrimp and broccoli mixture and garnish with green portions of green onions, peanuts, and sesame seeds.
